Concrete PVC Spacers

General Information

Spacers are used in concrete structures to support reinforcement steel. The nominal cover between the reinforcement and formwork has to be maintained before and after concreting. They are made from plastic in many different shapes and sizes. Design standards for concrete structures require spacers to be located at every meter (or less) along the length of reinforcing bars to ensure that the bars remain in place during concreting. The concrete PVC spacers are left permanently in the structure, and so they form an essential component of reinforced concrete. As such, ideally spacers should not have a negative impact on long-term durability.

Types of Concrete PVC Spacers

PVC Chair Spacer

It is a popular spacer for horizontal placed reinforcement in slabs and beams. In addition, it has good stability and can be used with various bar diameters due to its concave seat. Designed for light reinforcement in slabs and beams.

PVC Clip Spacer

The clip ensures a tight grip on the bars.

PVC Wheel Spacer

Used for different steel diameters. Extra-wide support area reduces possibility of tipping over. Open style design does not interrupt concrete flow. External ribs for minimal formwork contact.
